Robert (Bob) Vaz
Partner and CEO
Bob oversees all imports, drives company initiatives to increase market share, and identifies new product lines. In addition, he manages product development, and the growth of the company. He also oversees the sales coverage of the US northeast.
He brings to Babco more than 40 years of international import and distribution experience. Bob has managed large sales teams consisting of over 100 personnel in sales, logistics and administration. Prior to launching Babco he was a Senior Divisional Manager for a multi-national company in the Middle East.
Partner and CFO
Olivia manages the company’s finances, budgets, policies and credit control, bringing with her 25 years of international commercial banking experience in her role as Vice President of Corporate Credit at international and US national banks.
Her vast experience in corporate planning and lending, and various roles in Finance, plays an integral role at Babco Foods. Olivia also oversees the extensive portfolio of US National Inside Sales coverage and oversight of Operations at Babco New Jersey. She has been intimately involved in every aspect of Babco Foods since its inception and came on board full-time as Chief Financial Officer in 2010.
Ken Vaz, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President
Ken is based at our distribution center in Dallas, TX, and manages sales and operations of Babco’s Southern US and West Coast Regions. He is also actively involved in new product development for short- and long-term projects, as well as new sales and marketing initiatives.
Prior to joining Babco Foods full-time in 2015,he was instrumental in the strategic planning and execution of Babco’s effective sales program and efficient logistics capabilities. Ken holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Rutgers University in New Jersey and was a Staff Scientist at a US federal agency.
He is qualified in modules of the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Jean (Vaz) Gerencser, MBA, MA
Vice President, Special Projects
Jean manages several portfolios in Babco Foods, ranging from operational efficiencies, financial strategies, and analytics, to product placement in emerging markets and new distribution channels. Her core outlook is toward strategic strengthening Babco Foods for sustained long-term growth.
Before taking on this role, for over 10 years Jean was a member of Finance teams at multi-national and Fortune 500 companies such as Schreiber Foods, Republic Services, and Air Products. She also started Babco Foods' West Coast Distribution Center in Hayward, CA.
Jean holds an M.B.A. degree, with specialization in Finance, and an M.A. degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Seton Hall University, as well as a B.S. degree in Accounting from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
